later I bought a few of these to use as rear facing pursuit lights on two trucks and they work well for that and the cost. The design is fine as long as it holds up well, no water seeping in or anything like that. The downside is that the hardware is pretty shabby and shows rust on the surface. They make excellent chase lights, the sharply focused beam helps penetrate the dust and makes it easier for the next trucks to see them. I currently have one rear facing on my 12 JKU and one on a 2003 GMC Sierra. The HUGE difference is that in summer you will be seen in the dust in the Sierra Nevada mountains and California deserts.
