For the engineer who can follow the tracks and understand the logic of troubleshooting, the relay is handy and reliable, but it doesn't provide instructions as to which program mode does what. It can be discovered in about an hour or two of fiddling, and while it's a bit difficult, programming works if you practice documenting experiment after experiment step-by-step so it can be repeated exactly when the mode you want changes finally shows. The quality of this device is excellent and after understanding the programming it becomes reliable and repeatable. I use it as a hobby rocket launch timer and so far it has been impressive, reliable and a great buy. I would give it 5 stars if it came with a $0.002 sheet of paper with clear data on the logical design of each program mode (there are several, I only need P2 for my purpose so I went with it but I believe that u it has six to eight program modes.) Two stars were deducted for lack of a nickel piece of paper!
