Edit #2: Changed my rating from 1 to 4. The replacement was better than I expected. It's hard to explain but just looking at it and feeling it compared to the original I can say it's better. This new one has already been knocked off the table and a book fallen on it (I have cats that happens), not a scratch, rattle or broken plant! This new one also came with actual instructions for the button functions, and I was happy to see that you can actually prevent the colors from alternating. One star was taken because I really wanted the fish to swim and be still. Edit: The manufacturer contacted me and offered a refund or replacement, stating that the defective item was due to problems during shipping. I decided to have a replacement because I really like the humidifier. However. I'm a realist and when I saw the replacement arrived in the mail today (as opposed to the first one which arrived in an actual box) I wasn't optimistic. I'll post another edit in a week or so because I'll try. I had it a week. At least 4 cracks have formed on the cap and tank this week, two strips have broken off and the button is constantly sticking. It's really nice and quiet but save your money for something really well done.
