Bought a Harley Davidson Street 500 (XG500) and wow the mirror placement is dangerous! I don't know how they were even allowed to be sold in this form. I found them and thought I'd try using them to move the mirrors so I could actually see behind me (instead of just seeing my arms and chest). They were very easy to install and worked perfectly. I can see completely around my body and don't even have to move my head. Only by moving my eyes can I see what is happening. And they don't interfere with my clutch or front brake controls. No problem. Did about 50 miles today and they haven't moved an iota. I carry a hex wrench with me in case they move, but I didn't need it. A cheap solution to a really dangerous problem. Can't honestly believe Harley didn't do this from the factory.
