SUMMARY: Great product! I have used this for years on Louis Vuitton python loafers, Gucci python loafers, alligator boots and my wife's alligator Chanel purse and on every single one of them this product has returned them to like new condition! LONG OVERVIEW: Exotic leathers (such as python, lizard, alligator, caiman, crocodile, elephant, etc.) are more susceptible to aging than normal cowhide. Therefore, this product is essential, especially if you are unsure if your local shoemaker has enough experience to process and restore your exotic leather goods. So (if you're like me) you'll be playing around trying to find out where in your area you can get your shoes serviced and if this local shop has experience with exotic leathers. As long as you forget and put off this decision, your shoes will age through neglect. Don't let this happen to you like it did to me! Buy this product instead, I've used it on $1,000 worth of shoes for years and they not only survived, they "come back to life". Hooray! PS I am not sure if they are waterproof but I tried to make the Gucci python leather moccasins waterproof and they have changed since then. The best solution is to avoid wearing expensive leather that needs protection in places where it should be protected (e.g. don't wear it in a bar or club or when it's raining).
