The straps were very difficult for me to understand.I had to watch the video multiple times in order to understand how to wrap them. I have found that the brace works better for me without using the straps, and I think I will just cut them off. The brace is excellent, and has a non irritating rubberized inside to prevent the brace from sliding out of place. I've tried other braces, and this one is the best. Additionally, the concept of "cord management" is a joke here. There are two plates along each side of the mounting bar that would allow cords to go in and out, but. why? Purchased this to replace the cheap foam protector that is typical for most riding jackets. It was going in a ventilated summer jacket so the holes in this were a bonus feature.It was designed to fit in a Tourmaster jacket but I removed the original piece, traced around it and then cut this one to match in a minute.
