Review on πŸ‘Ÿ ASICS Gel-Kahana 8 Men's Running Shoe by Darren Boogie

Revainrating 5 out of 5

why this trail running shoe was specially designed for trail runners

Some observations and opinions on ASICS Gel-Kahana 8 trail running shoes: There is a removable high-quality insole; thick woven laces are not too long and stay tied without having to double-knot; highly flexible outsole with two "articulated" channels in the forefoot; stiff heel with excellent padding offers good lateral support; the heel counter has a soft and flexible crescent at the top to accommodate the Achilles tendon; the profile is aggressive and protects well from small sharp stones; the sponginess of the entire gel sole is noticeable on the foot when descending with great effort, since the entire foot remains comfortably sunk in the shoe and does not slip/slip; the tongue is thick enough that you don't feel the laces on the top of the foot; A 1" nylon slit is sewn in at the top of the tongue where the laces cross to keep the tongue in place; this shoe tapers slightly in the toe area; durable thick nylon upper is poorly ventilated. This rating runs 60-70 miles per week exclusively on rough, hilly forest trails that are a mix of soft dirt and gravel.
