Unstitched corners and white material red thread

I like the pillowcase itself. It stretches a bit and is actually soft (my only concern is that it looks like it could unroll quickly), but I won't know anyway because I can't keep up with the big ugly red thread (what?!) And it showed me a large unstitched corner which prompted me to check another pillow to find another unstitched corner. I doubt they will hold up well in the wash and not sure it's even worth switching products as both pillowcases are sewn poorly.
