I bought this phone for my son who is starting first grade this fall. Mobile phones have become an important part of our lives and for the price, the Blackview A70 is perfect for students. I got more than I paid for. The item arrived in premium packaging. In the box there is a phone, a micro USB cable, a power adapter and a user manual. I was surprised that the phone came with a polyurethane case, it looks nice. It also has a screen protector which is good for extra protection. When I removed the case, I accidentally removed the back cover, I didn't expect the back cover to be removable. It looks like the back cover needs to be removed to install SIM cards (2 slots) and a micro SD card. Once I install the SIM card, the initial setup is the same as any Android phone. While this phone only has 32GB of internal storage, expandable storage via a micro SD card is an added bonus to increase storage capacity. So I added a 256GB micro SD card and installed some apps on the SD card. I installed all apps and updates in less than 15 minutes. In terms of performance, the screen switches between apps quickly, and you'll only notice a slight lag when you start gaming. It can play casual games with ease, but shows a slight lag in fast-paced games. The display is great, not the best, but great for media consumption for the price. In terms of call quality, I can hear my interlocutor perfectly and he can hear me too, although I wish it were a little louder, but that's just me since the sound could be just fine for most. If I have one problem, it's the micro USB charging port. I wish it had USB C for fast charging as this phone can take at least 3 hours to charge. But the battery life makes up for the slow charging, because the enormous capacity of the battery lasts for almost 2 days with occasional use. The camera (Sony sensor) also surprised me, I was expecting a webcam quality camera, but this camera deceived me, it is of very good quality. Camera quality is on par with flagship phones from two years ago, which I think is excellent. One thing I noticed is that by default the camera post-processes skin tones to soften them a bit. My skin looks a bit smooth in some selfies. Finally, despite the fact that this phone is mostly made of plastic, the design is comparable to the design of flagship phones. From 2 feet away I can mistake it for a $700+ phone. All in all, this phone is impressive. Given the price this phone is 5 stars for me but if it was around $500 I would only give it 3 stars. So if you are on a budget and looking for a good quality phone, this phone comes highly recommended.
