Unfortunately there is no way to change the sensitivity. As it is, it won't pick up any movement until it's less than 3 feet away. I also think it might need a totally unobstructed line of sight where I want to use it, there's glass between it and the motion it's supposed to detect. I bought it for a downward facing street lamp with glass walls but no base. It doesn't pick up any movement around it at all (and yes, I tried to get it working when it was pitch dark outside). I screwed it into the fixture inside, and when fully open, it accommodated movement within three feet, but not beyond that radius. It is also a downward facing motion detector so it is not suitable for an upward facing light as shown in the photos "application example" on the website. There were no instructions either, just what was written on the page in non-English. All in all very disappointing based on what I was able to assume based on what the ad page says.
