I've only ever washed my makeup brushes in dish soap and hot water and found them clean. It was a random purchase on Amazon late at night and I wasn't sure why I ordered it when it arrived. But omg, I had no idea my brushes were so dirty! This cleaner is more like a gel and you only need a little to get your brushes really clean. That's a great price and the bottle lasts a long time. I will definitely buy again.
