The instructions for the case were a bit difficult to understand, but in the end if you can get it done without instructions, you just snap it open like a protective plastic case. I understand why others say it's a bit harder to open and close a laptop now, but it's nothing major if it could damage your computer. The plastic was a bit cheap, but that's not uncommon for a China-made product. Does what it's supposed to and will hopefully last a long time. I will try to update the review in a few months to show how it has held up with regular use.
