Review on Sanyo Xacti HD700 7MP MPEG-4 High Definition 720P Camcorder With 5X Optical Zoom (Silver) (Discontinued By Manufacturer) by Rob Allen

Great little camcorder with lots of features

I bought this camcorder despite the many negative reviews. VERY SATISFIED and not disappointed. Similar to Joz and Visor Blue's comments, if you learn how to use it and follow Sanyo's advice as well as just a glimpse, you'll get great short videos and great photos. It doesn't have a viewfinder so you can frame and focus the image/video on the screen. It takes a little getting used to, but very easy with practice. The video is razor sharp, the details are pin sharp, as are the images captured with the camcorder. Easily transfer clips and images with a secure digital card, easily import into iTunes and upload clips to YouTube. I bought this camcorder for fun, nothing serious. I used to have a Mini DV camcorder (reviewed by JVC on Revain) which I never really used as it was bulky, unintuitive to use and awkward to transfer (never got the hang of it). It was easy to learn how to use and comes with all the accessories you need in addition to a secure digital card for control with an HDTV and a computer. This is a great item to wear, light weight and just great. in red. Easy to fit in your pocket, bag or just carry around. Since I bought this camcorder for $299, this is a steal. You can pay more and get a bigger camcorder, but if you want convenience and ease of use, this camcorder is worth considering - even if you're paying over $299. I was wanting to buy a previous generation model for $300+, but looking back at this article the price dropped $200 and I was determined to quickly hit the buy button to make sure that I receive this beauty.
