This is a great jacket for moderate temperatures but not very cold times. I'm originally from North Dakota but now live in the South. My winter jacket from home is too heavy for this southern climate, but I need something more than a hoodie. I recommend this jacket for temperatures of 20 degrees Fahrenheit and above (no wind). If it were windy I wouldn't advise wearing this coat when it's under 30F. I'm 5ft 8" and about 160lbs and ordered 5 because a lot of the reviews complained about how small this jacket is. . I could fit three of us in it! He was gigantic. I'm reordering 3x which I think will still be roomy but I like my clothes to be a little loose. I usually wear a size 14 or XL coat depending on the brand and I think 3x would equal XXL or 16. The sleeves were a bit short so I'm disappointed that they are even shorter if I order a size smaller, but I like the fit and the weight of the jacket is so great that I'm willing to endure it. I have ridiculously long arms anyway and never had a long sleeve coat to cover my wrists so not really an issue for me. I have a slightly busty figure (34DDD) by the way and was glad I didn't have any problems with the zipper! I also really like the combination of button and zipper. Hope this strange info helps. ! Also, the vertical slits of the chest pockets are superficial, but the hip and waist pockets are very deep and beautiful.
