Recently my children and I had to spend a few weeks in quarantine as at least one of my children had COVID. Last summer when we were self-isolating I organized a series of themed weeks just to keep you busy (Japan week, Christmas in July). This year we didn't have that much time, so we spent several theme days. One of them was "tropical/hawaiian day". We have seen Vaiana. Ordered inflatable palm trees. I ordered drink umbrellas for our pineapple juice. We created spam puffs. It was silly but the kids loved it and asked to do it again. When I saw them I thought they might make a nice addition to my tropical tool box. Of course they are amazing. They are also incredibly heavy. They're pretty heavy even when empty. Without a stylus, it would be a little awkward without a stylus. Just like adults, kids will struggle with a drink or two. They are glazed on the inside and outside and are therefore food-safe. But I think they're more fun.
