Fat-Cat Approved for Beds and Furniture

(I bought B5701 57" Ivory Wood). Boy, Ren, 20lbs, Girl, Coco, 16. We understand this isn't ideal, but she does are already on a diet, do not hunt, do not react to catnip and do not react to catnip do not play with things I was trying desperately to find something that would move them that they would actually enjoy We also recently got a puppy which stressed Coco so much that she disappeared into the musty corners of our basement where he can't get in. I've read that simply giving your cat a high resting spot can help relieve stress, so I did specifically looking for a scratching post with high sleeping platforms. Finally we needed a way to keep the food off the pup so I was drawn to the abundance of flat surfaces to put the food on r could be placed. I was concerned that any tree I bought would be too small for these cats. After careful consideration, this option seemed to me to be the best. It's a bit small (if we could add two inches to all dimensions, the tree to cat ratio would be more like promotional photos), but they have no problem with it. Ren takes up almost the entire volume of the cabin, but he fits in, so he sits. In loaf mode, the crampons take up the entire surface area of the upper platforms, but the raised edges help contain them and likely make them feel like they're being squeezed into a box. They seem content with the feel-good factor. It wasn't until I assembled the tree that I wondered if my cats would be too big/fat to jump onto the higher platforms. I noticed that the lower tiers only extend a few inches past the edges of the upper tiers, so the jump should be entirely vertical, not horizontal. At first the cats were reluctant to make these jumps, but we put the tree in the corner and next to the windowsill so they could find creative ways to get where they need to go. Now, a few weeks later, they're moving through her like nimble mech ninjas (who completely fail at stealth). Stressed Coco LOVES the second highest platform. This became her happy spot away from the pup and brought her to eye level with us for a light rub. The food trick worked too! We placed Ren's food bowl right by one of the entrances to the hut, and Koko's food bowl was placed on the roof of the hut so they could eat at the same time. They don't care if they're attached to a rope or a fluffy ball. However, the pup enjoys the rope as it is right next to the ground. The tree itself was SUPER easy to put together. I'm a 5'4" little lady with absolutely no upper body strength whatsoever. You are given a hex key and all you have to do is twist everything back into place. The wood is impressively strong, quality and safe! Me doubt there was an error in the assembly instructions: it said to use two longer bolts to attach the hut to the platform when actually two shorter bolts were supposed to be used on the top platforms and wondered why I only had short bolts that didn't fit. Not a big deal and they are easy to fix but accuracy would be desirable. My cats love the wood I find it extremely safe/durable. even with their weight and Coco is happy again. Great purchase.
