This is a plastic presser foot used to prevent the resistance of the metal foot when sewing leather or vinyl. I use the Singer Heavy Duty Machine model 4452. The foot fits perfectly. I sew from thick marine grade vinyl. This foot maintains a consistent stitch length without sticking. That makes my work a lot easier. I am very satisfied with this product.
