My 8 year old was very happy with this birthday present. Make sure you do your homework and watch some YouTube videos on how to throw one first - hint, you need a little headwind and a big field for it to come back properly. Can't comment on durability yet as we got it recently, but I wouldn't want it to end up on anything other than grass.

Not an easy boomerang to start with, good quality and durability to withstand a beginner's tries and stumbles, but won't last long if the thrower doesn't throw properly form within a reasonable time. The edges are not ground smooth to reduce resistance fluctuations and shorten learning time. The processing quality is 3 stars.

This is a lightweight and sturdy boomerang that is good for beginners. It has more lift than I would like. This causes it to rise unnecessarily and sink quickly, making catching difficult and potentially painful. Similarly, with relatively little practice, it *really* consistently comes back. Otherwise it's a very well made boomerang. And the color makes it easy to find when you're confused.

I have several right and left hand boomerangs but I'm new to throwing. Compared to my other ranks, Glacier is the most well-rounded. I have both right handed and left handed Glacier models and both are very stable, fly well, are fairly easy to cast and are fairly easy to cast. If you've never thrown a real boomerang or are just Aerobee or Nerf types, this is a great boomerang for beginners. I've thrown other real ranks before and love the size and weight of this one, especially for a beginner. It doesn't take a lot of strength to throw, so with practice a child as young as 10 should be able to throw it. Received to bring to me on my first day! Only two out of fifty shots came back, but I put up with it on the first day. Robust construction. Hit the asphalt with a small dent and abrasion. Dozens of hits on the turf with no damage. Lumps of a brownish, sticky mass are visible on the reverse side, flowing down from the treated side. the same instructions.
