My 8 year old was very happy with this birthday present. Make sure you do your homework and watch some YouTube videos on how to throw one first - hint, you need a little headwind and a big field for it to come back properly. Can't comment on durability yet as we got it recently, but I wouldn't want it to end up on anything other than grass.
