i-Stubble vs Norelco Vacuum Trimmer

I chose the Conair i-Stubble after trying several Philips Norelco models (QT4070/41 then 7200/7000 series). . For what it's worth, I shave my entire head and I have facial hair too. Conair has a much shorter range of thickness options but for my purposes it doesn't matter as I don't go beyond 2-3mm. However, for trimming sideburns and the surrounding areas, I found Norelco to be better at creating a "fade" that looks like a salon touch-up. In terms of overall design, Conair wins by a wide margin. The guide stays attached and out of the way as you open it to fine-tune tight areas. The design of the Norelco 7200 is completely unintuitive and assembly has always been a trial and error process for me, taking it apart for cleaning. There are other guides to choose from, but they're also quite fragile and once the "legs" break, they stop working. The proximity must again be given the advantage of Conair. It can cut the hairline closest to the back of the head while the Norelco 7200/7000 cannot reach them. Likewise, I can trim the hairs on the back of my neck by raising the Conair nozzle, which no Norelco model could do on even the tightest of settings. The vacuum cleaner lost a lot of suction power in the first few years and that made it unusable. Cleaning the Conair itself is fairly easy, although collecting all the hair (if you use it to shave your head) around the sink can be a chore. cleaning is not a problem. Excellent purchase!
