i-Stubble vs Norelco Vacuum Trimmer

I chose the Conair i-Stubble after trying several Philips Norelco models (QT4070/41 then 7200/7000 series). . For what it's worth, I shave my entire head and I have facial hair too. Conair has a much shorter range of thickness options but for my purposes it doesn't matter as I don't go beyond 2-3mm. However, for trimming sideburns and the surrounding areas, I found Norelco to be better at creating a "fade" that looks like a salon touch-up. In terms of overall design, Conair wins by a wide…

Great concept, poor consistency.

I had two of these, one with a disposable battery and the other a ConairMAN i-Stumble (grey/silver) with battery. I'm a white male with a fairly thick beard that grows in different directions. I always had to make multiple passes over my face to get a close shave. The flexible head seemed like a good idea, but after using it I had a hard time keeping it properly aligned when using it (if that makes any sense). I wasn't very impressed with the battery life when you fold back the adjustable pad…

Worked fantastic for a few months

Worked fantastic for a few months. The 0.4mm setting was great for using before work so it didn't get out of hand at the end of the day, and the 0.6-0.8mm settings were great for running a few hours . Problems started after a month, which resolved themselves (the clipper got stuck and only worked on 0.4mm and 5mm, the shortest and longest settings, but eventually reset). After two months the clipper began to lag between switching on and off, only working on the 5mm setting and refusing to…

Excellent trimmer - but only as long as it lasts

I've been using this trimmer for 5 full years. Here's a timeline of how my attitude towards this trimmer has changed: 2014 - Thing works great! It has a lot of power for something that uses a battery and I get about 3 full haircuts before needing a charge. I love the adjustable head and how I can fine tune the smaller sizes to keep my beard looking perfect. I also like that I can remove the guard to free up my neck and get more defined beard lines on my face. The only thing that confuses me is…

Pros
  • I like everything so far
Cons
  • Something is wrong
