Review on 🔧 Westinghouse Saf-T-Bar for Ceiling Fans - Model 0152500 by John Ruelas

I used this to install a track light in my basement office. The ceiling is not finished yet and I wanted to adjust the position of the light between the visible beams. This worked well, but like one reviewer, I had trouble getting this where I wanted due to the uneven spacing of the joists in my ceiling. The mids are all around 16 inches and this rod fits between most of them, but it was extremely narrow in the position I wanted my light in. I was able to hammer it in deep enough to secure it. It would be nice if the bar collapsed just a fraction of an inch more for situations like mine. This pole is really strong and will easily support a ceiling fan that is much heavier than the light fixture I used it on.
