I've been working as a professional videographer for 20 years. He also received several awards. Worked on VHS, then Hi-8, DVcam and now in multiple HD formats. I've been following this camera since it won the CES Best Camera award last year. I needed a small and light camera for travel and upcoming small production jobs (run and shoot). The addition of additional lighting and XLR audio hardware fills in what few gaps this camera has. Although the guide is a bit limited, the quality is right for the price. Add a slider and tripod and your video will shine. This camera delivers high quality images at 24Mbps (1920 x 1080i) and 28Mbps (1920 x 1080p) - I'm editing in 30P so I'm shooting and converting in 1080i. For the low budget home theater/filmmaker this camera is perfect!
