The Cure for Shaking Hands

I am 85 years old and have been editing videos professionally and for my family for over 30 years. About two years ago I decided to quit video production because of the handshake. I read some positive reviews about this new technology and decided to give it a try. I was blown away by the flawless performance of this little camcorder. I scrolled slowly with shaking hands and couldn't believe how clear the playback was.

I LOVE THIS CAMERA!

I LOVE THIS CAMERA. It was bought to replace an old Sony that was starting to give me problems. I am a choir director and need a good camera to record my concerts. It has a BUILT-IN wide-angle lens that allows me to capture the entire scene. It has a beautiful color and a great sound. I was particularly impressed by the stable shooting function. I bought an extra battery that lasts me over 10 hours on a single charge. It also has an HDMI output cable to connect to my infocus projector. I AM…

The best "small and light " prosumer camera under $2,000.

I've been working as a professional videographer for 20 years. He also received several awards. Worked on VHS, then Hi-8, DVcam and now in multiple HD formats. I've been following this camera since it won the CES Best Camera award last year. I needed a small and light camera for travel and upcoming small production jobs (run and shoot). The addition of additional lighting and XLR audio hardware fills in what few gaps this camera has. Although the guide is a bit limited, the quality is right for

Best money I've ever spent on a camera!

product arrived on time and as described (new). I haven't spent much time with the camera yet, although I've tried features like a projector and optical image stabilization. I personally liked the projector feature, although the detail isn't quite as good as when connected to a TV with the included HDMI cable. Then the quality of the picture shows itself in all its glory. The built-in backlight is also a very useful feature. Not good enough to be used as the sole light source in a dimly lit…

Everything I was looking for and more.

Like many others, I read every single pro and con review I could find before deciding on the Sony Handycam HDR-PJ790V camcorder. After about two weeks of careful research, I decided to spend double my budget to get this monster video camera. It replaced my Canon Vixia HF-10. I know there are better models out there for the video enthusiast, but this thing has everything I need and more. The stability of this camcorder is unreal when using Balanced Optimized Steady Shot (BOSS). I tested it many…

Best camcorder I've ever owned

Let me start by saying that I'm a self-proclaimed "prosumer". When DV came out in 1995, I was one of the first to buy a $4,000 Sony VX1000. I was also one of the first to buy a $2,000 Sony Hc1 HDV camcorder on day one of its release in 2005. Since then I've been using a Canon DSLR and since last year a Nikon D800 camera for video recording. It's the first camcorder to match or even surpass the D800 in terms of video quality. I've always wanted that super clear, "As if you were there" clarity…
