I needed a 4 ounce ball head hammer to peek behind 1/16 inch brass rods when I was fixing a straight razor. I found I couldn't find it at my local store so I bought it from Amazon. The hammer came quickly and was NIB and it does what I need. The head is rough on the flat side and the end of the ball is not perfectly round, there are small flat surfaces on the ball. Needless to say, this doesn't affect performance, and I've sanded and polished the flat end to be true. The head is firmly connected to the handle, but the termination is below the base. Again these are small parts and the price reflects what I ordered and received, a functional hammer with fine detail peeking out of the brass rod on razor scales.
