I love this set and that it has so many options for different curls. I tried the 3 barrel curler on my daughter. She has very thick hair. I separated small pieces and counted 5 seconds for each crimp. It worked without a product. I tried it on my other daughter's hair and it lasted longer. I held it on my hair for 8 seconds and it didn't get that curly. Different hair types require different times. The only thing I didn't like was the smell. I have a feeling that this is the smell of varnish on an iron barrel with an admixture of hair. There was smoke/steam coming out of where the hair made contact with the iron but when I inspected the hair there was no burning. Overall happy with it and looking forward to trying other casks.
