I bought this washi to have a nice range of warm and cool colors for my journal. 10mm or 1cm wide tape is easy to tear off. If you prefer a straight edge when tearing, you will need scissors as they tear a bit unevenly. The peach color and tan color show through when applied to a printed background. Blue and Charcoal are both opaque, but if you look closely you can still see through. The black washi doesn't really see through, but if I hold my single page up to the light I can technically see through. This page is from an A4 At a Glance calendar and I'm not sure how heavy the calendar paper is. Washi is easy to remove and move without damaging my pages. I can also write on washi, although the various inks I've tried smudge a little if I haven't given them time to dry. The package arrived brand new and sealed. Definitely recommend this washi!
