Great monitor but let down by mic/speakers

I worked from home, had two monitors, a laptop, a docking station and a Jabra speakerphone. Since I do a lot of video conferencing, I thought this would be the perfect solution to get rid of all those extra cables and devices. GOOD: The monitor quality is excellent. Very bright, very clear. Just a nice sharp picture. The size is amazing to open multiple windows. Camera quality is good and clear, very satisfied. The build quality of the monitor is also good and solid. THE BAD: As soon as I started using it people said they couldn't hear me well like I was either muffled or too quiet. I changed all sorts of microphone settings and increased the volume. Nothing has been fixed. In addition, the built-in speaker is quite quiet. When I'm on the phone and turning on the dishwasher, the dryer, or even the fan, I can have trouble understanding people. Again I went to the website, searched and tried all sorts of fixes and yes, the volume on the monitor and computer was cranked up to the limit. I tried playing around with the noise reduction settings. There just isn't much volume out there. So overall I'm quite satisfied. As a monitor, it's really good, and the built-in camera is good. But one of the key selling points of this monitor is the conferencing portion, and I feel like they missed the mark when it comes to audio. After almost a month of playing and struggling, I reconnected my Jabra Speak 510 and used it for all my audio conferencing. It would probably be better to just get a cheaper monitor of the same size and picture quality knowing the sound would be that bad.
