Thoughtful design and very reliable engineering/manufacturing result in an amazingly strong and stable gate. The gate is easy to install (just make sure you don't cut the tethers holding the gate in place until installation is complete; the stops maintain structural balance by locking the 'locking mechanisms' " secure) without drilling or using screws to damage the gate wall. Users must be aware of the bar to avoid tripping over it. (Actually, I made a cover that minimizes this potential hazard.) Gates work great for keeping dogs out of my home office/studio where I have computers, art projects/supplies, and equipment. I'm not afraid of them using the computer, but avoid pet hair and possible mishaps. The gate works exactly as described. I like the automatic closure and it doesn't slam. This is a quality gate with thoughtful design and quality manufacturing. A quality product with easy installation gives a rating of 4.5+.
