I really, really want to like these shoes. First of all, the style is very trendy – casual, simplistic but with a touch of bling that gives off an almost business-casual vibe (not for everyone, I know, but it's a bold touch and I love it). All the color options look great and with the brown fabric option the photos definitely convey the shoes. The shoe is, as others have noted, very light and also a bit thin for a 12" (285?) shoe size, but I managed to fit snugly around my fairly wide feet with no discomfort or slippage issues. with a shoe with build quality. The lightweight design is really due to the very thin material these shoes are made of. They feel good for really good slippers, but I wouldn't recommend wearing these shoes every day. I don't babysit these shoes. The soles are the main issue for me - they are pretty flat, pretty thin and VERY pliable. The photos almost give it away, but it's even clearer when you hold them in your hands, let alone when you put them on. A lighter person with smaller feet and a less pronounced arch would probably feel fine not stepping on stone paths and the occasional pebble, but I'd say for any other person 180 pounds or more, your feet will get it mad at you for what you put on those soles. Even compared to the soles of a pair of Sketchers loafer style sneakers at the same price I've been using daily for the past 3 years and especially compared to the soles of a pair of casual Rockport loafers I have lying around, the result here is rather unfortunate. I think if only the soles had more structural stiffness and arch support I could accept the lower quality of the rest of the shoe just for the style. For now though, I think this should be a comeback for me.
