Constant freezing and lagging

Constant freezing and lagging even just using the home screen. Some applications don't respond to the physical keyboard, and some don't even use the virtual keyboard. Not very useful if you can't enter credentials in the apps you use. Should be very fast and smooth given the hardware, but the four year old h912 on Android 7 which should be replaced is much smoother and faster just with the hbo max app issue.
