I'm more interested in fan operation than lights. When I first turned it on, the default was flashing lights of different colors. I found that I could turn the flashing lights on and off and set a specific light color by pressing a button on the back of the cooling fan. The speed of the fan itself is easily adjusted with a rotary wheel. When my laptop fan started running frequently trying to cool down, I flipped the fan switch and after about 90 seconds the laptop fan stopped working. I think that lets me know the fan is working. I don't think I'll ever need light. They seem useless to me, but I can understand the attraction to players and other people. For those of you scoring points, here's the breakdown: Design - BBuild - B+Noise - BValue - B+Overall Score: B+
