An old friend is back! I've carried Buck 110 folders since the very first one. I bought it at Ft. Riley, KS PX in 1975. Then some company sold them a "thumb button". Wasn't worth the brushed brass once you took it off. There is no tool either. The Thumb Button 3-pack EDCF fans are a very welcome addition. I haven't seen this little thumb switch in years as I've always kept an eye on a few. Then they fell on me from the sky and I've been very happy ever since. They are of high quality and will "chargeβ 110! Thoroughly clean the blade to remove ALL the oil. Get a bottle of Loc Tite or a similar thread sealant. Use red or the strongest. Coat the threads and small hex nut well. Place it where you want it and tighten firmly. Leave it alone for the rest of the day. This is my personal method. When you use 110 you will always wonder why you didn't or couldn't get it. But now in a set of 3. It is great. I bet you could get a good deal with some knife companies. And yes, I still have my 1975 Army PX 110. It has a new button on the blade!
