Review on Enhance Your Productivity with Logitech MX 🐭 Master 2S Wireless Mouse: Advanced Features and Ergonomic Design by Jnis Uptis ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best thing for the money, glad I did it.

I have been using Logitech peripherals for many years. Of the mice were: Revolution MX, Performance MX, Anywhere MX (2 pcs.) - the last 3 are still used from time to time. In fact, for me it was the path of evolution along with Logitech. I would not say that something revolutionary has appeared over the past 10 years, just a systematic bringing to mind all the advantages. For all of the above, the only thing that did not suit was the lack of bluetooth and, as I later realized, the lack of automatic switching of the scroll wheel operating modes. In the MX Master 2S, this is very pleasing. I also liked the fact that you can reassign the buttons: I swapped "back and forth" above the thumb (the top one is faster, made it "back"), and I hung a change in the sensitivity of cursor movement on the button under the thumb - by the nature of the activity, you have to work a lot with screenshots and therefore accuracy is important. I don't use the horizontal scroll wheel. But vertical scrolling is a song! In fact, probably, it is for the wheel from time to time that I choose Logitech of the top line. Oh, and I also liked the ability to connect via BT / via dongle. For everyday work at the table on a laptop with a large monitor, I plugged a dongle into it, to which an MX Craft mouse and keyboard are connected. And in mobile mode, I connect to the same laptop via BT: switching is instant. It is also interesting to try the trackball also from Logitech, but the other scroll wheel confuses me, well, it’s not clear whether it will work for me at all. It doesn’t really apply to this mouse, but . The deteriorating support for Logitech devices is frustrating: earlier, when Revolution MX failed after 4 years of work, they sent Performance MX to replace it without question. A similar story was with the Illuminated Keyboard. Now, they say, this is not expected. And in general there are a lot of complaints about the support of the company. But I hope I don't have to test it the hard way anytime soon.

Pros
  • Wheel operation (minimum effort, maximum accuracy) Automatic switching of modes of operation of the wheel Convenient shape and weight (did not risk taking the MX3, because the reviews write that the size has been reduced and the shape has changed) Glides well and works on almost any surface Assignable buttons Connection via bluetooth or via dongle to choose from Working with multiple devices Ability to connect multiple devices to one Unifying receiver
Cons
  • Marking surface Micro-USB connector, not type-C for charging I would like it to hold a charge longer (this is rather just a nitpick)
