Review on πŸ–₯️ Kanguru Solutions WP-KFT3-8G Kanguru Flashtrust Wp-KFT3 USB Drive - Black-Green Combo by Joe Comforti

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Extremely fast and similar to security features

I got this disk because one day in the sky I saw something on my windows laptop that made me nervous and wanted to run a full system scan from a bootable antivirus disk. I've felt the need to do it twice this year. I think the last time I did this was about two years ago. I use the free KRD Privateer. KRD is a Linux rescue disk with a Kapersky virus scanner. My procedure is to download the latest KRD ISO on my wife's Mac and flash it to a USB stick. At this point, I would ideally like to make the drive read-only, but none of my multiple USB drives have a write-protect switch. I looked for read-only devices. There aren't many of them. I was going to use the cheaper Kanguru FlashBlue30, but then I noticed FlashTrust has much faster read/write speeds plus BadUSB protection, so I went with the 8GB FlashTrust. well made and high quality. I did a test run to make sure my procedure works with this drive. The drive is very fast. The KRD image is only 638MB, but I definitely found that it flashed and verified much faster than the drive I was using. , then my Dell laptop didn't recognize it as a boot device. When I used it in a USB-A port, the drive was recognized by the BIOS as a boot device and I was able to boot from it. My other USB drive is recognized as a bootable device even though I'm using an adapter. Kanguru works in the adapter, it's just not recognized as a boot device there. So I think if you're having trouble booting your computer with Kanguru, maybe try a different port.
