This is the right size for those custom watermelons or similar small melons or melons if they are smaller which is what I like about them. It's much stronger than the big one I have, doesn't look like it will bend or break. I ended up breaking the handle of a larger one, sometimes when the skin is really really hard it really can take some pressure to get through but the end result is amazingly beautiful slices that are easy to pick up and eat and add to what you eat more of this product, which means less of something else, which may not be as useful.
