Review on Barnwood Wire-Brushed Drop Leaf Kitchen Cart With Wood And Stainless Steel Construction - One Size by Todd Gill

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Lazy workmanship & 2+ hrs packaging removal

If you have OCD, this just might drive you insane. There are 3 issues that drop the rating very low; I’m leaving the second star because of functionality.Issues:1. They wrap the Stainless Steel in the cheapest adhesive plastic before mounting it, and it needs to be disassembled completely to fix it. 20 seconds by the manufacturer to remove the plastic off the area by the hinges before assembly, and I’d have given it 4 stars. As is, I can spend about 3 more hours to remove 3 little 3x1/2 inch strips of plastic, then another 2 to reassemble, or just live with it.2. They wrap the stainless steel in the cheapest adhesive plastic. Expect to spend about 1 hour minimum trying to get the plastic off. It sticks to the stainless over the entire surface, and has to be pulled firmly. Too firmly, and it rips - it’s super cheap.3. Gaps in the shelving. The gap between the leg and the bottom shelf pictured is about 1/4 inch. As long as you have wood glue, a cabinet clamp, a drill and a few screws, you can redesign your $400 island to be worth it! :)

Pros
  • Easy to assemble with the included instructions and hardware
Cons
  • The wood finish doesn't match other barnwood furniture
