Bye Bye Rowenta Iron

This was the fourth Rowenta Pro Steam Iron I've bought. Each of them have had the same problem over the years, they leaked. I liked how well they all worked before they started leaking, but I use a lot of vapor so leaks were an issue. For the price I paid I expected them to last longer than they did. I usually use about 3-5 years before it starts leaking. They all still work great dry but I need steam! I was careful never to drop the last one I bought and treated it very carefully, but it didn't matter anyway, it was still leaking after a few years of little use. I tried other irons in several 5 star hotels while on holiday and found that there are irons comparable to Rowenta at a much lower price. I now have a Sunbeam Turbo Steam Master that I bought from Costco and so far it works great, has a 12" cord and has the same or more features as the Rowenta. It also has many vapor ports like the Rowenta, and the price was less than half the Rowenta. And best of all: no leakage. I'll have to see how long this one lasts, but even if it only lasts as long as Rowenta, I paid half as much. I will never buy a Rowenta again. I feel like I wasted hundreds of dollars and didn't get what I paid for. To compare the steam outlets, the left image is with the star Rowenta and the right image is Sunbeam. Vapor outlets were very important to me and Sunbeam met my needs. Goodbye Rowenta!
