Review on 🐎 Tough-1 Easy Mounting Aid for Standard Stirrups by Julius Lito

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm not sure why it gets such bad reviews.

. At 40 I had a 16.3 hh horse. in this rhythm. Eight years ago I stopped owning a horse (the children grew up and left the nest). Let's go to the present. I'm still 5'4" (okay, maybe down to 5'3") and I've wanted to own a horse again. I knew the days of getting a 16.3hh horse were over so I bought a SMALL quarter horse worth only 14.2hh. To my dismay, I had a heck of a lot of time to move on! Call it age (I'm 55 now) or issues from previous back surgery, but I've just had a hell of a time. the kind of assembly tool that comes to my rescue. NONE of them were rated above 3 so I was very skeptical when ordering this. I brought him into the stable, saddled him, picked him up, hooked him by the saddle horn and IN FRONT (not in front) of the stirrup. I was fully expecting to be rocking back and forth or under the horse as other reviews have reported. However, I kicked with my RIGHT foot, placed my left foot in the stirrup, and walked up and forward. He mounted well in the saddle, took off the aid, put it in his pocket and rode. Twice I stopped on the trail and tried to climb myself unaided (didn't work!). Used the help again and no problems at all. No rocking, no feeling of instability, nothing. Again, I'm 55. I don't know why some people have had such problems. I didn't adjust the length at all as it arrived. In full length. He's probably hanging up to 6 inches or so below my own stirrup. I recommend. If you're having trouble, you're probably doing it wrong.

Pros
  • . Great overall specs.
Cons
  • . Doubtful.
