Review on Acumen Corporation by Adam Madden
We are using Git and GitHub for our source control.
Implemented full solution on SAP HANA database, and i see some improvements in speed and cost reduction. Support is very fast (we did a remote session with them), and very nice to work with. Excellent design/development skills, as expected from a large company such as Acumen. I like how they use git and github; this way you don't forget your changes after moving or merging branches into master branch. Also it's good to know if there was an error in code or something wrong when testing - all these issues can be solved quickly through Github. They do not force developers to write unit tests at first, which may lead to poor quality later.
Pros
- They make sure we're on top of the newest trends and best practices, without forcing us to implement new ones.
- Very easy to learn and understand
Cons
- We had to go back and read the API docs to understand some things better.
- For example, the documentation mentions an operation named 'get', but no such thing exists in the API.
