We live in an area where there are many dogs. Some have goods owners, while others don't notice. This product works quite well as a deterrent when fresh. Heavy rain will wash away the components, requiring reapplication. On sunny weekends we see 50 to 100 dogs walking in front of our house. About half of the dogs are used to stopping and tagging or peeing on our lawns and street trees, even when there are lawns 100 feet or less. MACE reduces their desire to mark or urinate when they sniff first. They usually go further. There are still owners who have no idea how to control their dogs, and if they tag or pee without sniffing, MACE has no effect. I have tried other products and this product works much better. This is a good solution and holds back most of the activity. I also find MACE and a product with excellent value for money. There is no perfect solution, but I recommend this as an option.
