HOW IT IS MADE This is a powder in a plastic jar. There is a measuring scoop inside, but you may have to fish it out as it settles during shipping. POWDER This powder smells a little herbal, but also smells like brewer's yeast and dried chicken liver. It is very good. HOW TO USE We give her half a scoop in her food every day, starting when the weather is bad. IS IT? I have to say that she shocked me. She eats every bite with it. She doesn't seem to mind at all. DOES THAT HELP? Well, my husband commented that he couldn't understand why Kitty wasn't so excited in the evenings even though she was too cold to go outside. She is still energetic but rests more and finds it easier to relax. If we don't give her anything, she'll be jumping on the walls all night. When we put her in her winter abode (a huge cage with a drawer and a bed) at night, she howls and uses her nails to attract anything she can hook her to. If she can't get out that often at night, our cat can be a handful. By accepting this, she becomes much more level-headed and easier to understand. We will use her as needed until spring or when the weather is nice when she can go outside again. MY RATING FIVE STARS. I am very grateful for this material. We've had to use it a few times and each time it makes our cat that much calmer and easier to deal with at night when the weather is too cold to go outside. It doesn't make her addicted to drugs, so she's not alert when she walks, which also makes me very happy.
