Unlock not working

Lock/unlock when opening and closing the lid DOES NOT WORK and yes I checked my iPad settings and it's still not working. Everything else seems fine which is why I'm so disappointed because I can't hold the thing, I'll accidentally drain the battery if the iPad doesn't turn itself off when I close the lid.
