Very well suited for gearboxes and power transmission
This flywheel is very heavy. Probably because it's a dual mass flywheel. I'm converting my 2005 Frontier from automatic to manual and decided to give this flywheel a try. Fit and finish are perfect so far. Update September 16, 2019: I have put over 1000 miles on this flywheel so far after successfully converting my truck from auto to manual. So far no problems. A friend mentioned that Luk is an OEM brand for some manufacturers.
- Dual-mass flywheel: LuK dual-mass flywheel body dampens and isolates engine vibrations and prevents damage to the gearbox caused by torque surges in the engine. Due to the design, dual mass flywheels cannot be converted.
