I love half-gallon steel bottles because I drink lots of fluids and prefer soft drinks. This bottle keeps my drinks chilled all day and the ice doesn't melt too quickly. This bottle comes with a few accessories, some of which I don't quite like. The rubber sleeve slips off easily, that could be done better. I like the bottle brush, it's good for cleaning the bottom of the bottle. The paracord lanyard is pretty cool and comfortable to wear. This bottle is almost the same as another one I have, but I immediately noticed one striking difference - there is a rubber teat on the lid that holds the straw. seal, and it's a piece of junk. It is not possible to drink through a straw, the tea in the pot only bubbles and the device does not exchange air/liquid. I took the pad out and tried to clean it, shoved it back and forth in the hole for it - it refuses to function and wants to fall out a few times. I know taking off a star seems like a small thing, but I prefer to use a straw rather than a spout - I don't want to flip that big tank sideways and up to take a sip. Otherwise, I like this bottle almost as much as my other one. It does the job with a working straw cover on it from my first one and still doesn't leak. With five people in my house, it's nice to have more large bottles to keep drinks cold when traveling.
