Bought for long car rides - sometimes I like to use the computer in the car. I used to use an inverter that plugged into my cigarette lighter so I could plug in a laptop charger adapter, but it stopped working. Instead of getting another inverter (big and bulky) I decided to replace it with this one. Although it works great as it only puts out 30W, it can't keep the laptop charged under heavy CPU usage, but for normal web browsing and the like it works fine. Having a second USB-A port for my phone is handy because using my phone as a hotspot drains the battery quickly.
