We needed light for our terrace. It's 20 x 60 feet and we were hoping to get a strip to cover it all. This rope lantern came with clamps and butt joints. I plugged it in and it glowed. So I installed it. The clips suck, but I ordered a better one anyway. As soon as I plugged it in after installation, we noticed that some of the lights were flickering. whole sections. I took a closer look and noticed that the wires should be evenly spaced inside the rope. But some wires were crossed INSIDE the rope. The only way to use this for our length is to connect them. Splices are giant white plugs. Very creepy. We cannot recommend this rope lantern as you will end up connecting smaller lengths together anyway.
