Let's start with the size. Looking at the pictures I was expecting a standard size ball mount. This ball mount has definitely been scaled down. It's more like 2/3 scale. I thought it would not fit my full frame DSLR in any way and certainly cannot be stable. And this is where my SLR fits, and it's rock solid. I bought this for travel so I love the size! Secondly; Quality. At a time when manufacturers are trimming every corner and pawning cheap junk at a premium price, Aoka rises above the rest. While not the cheapest tripod, the quality matches or exceeds that of the big premium tripods at 5x that, what they charge for it! From the lettering to the workmanship to the fit and finish, this tripod is a work of art! Third Bonuses! Many extras included that are not listed in the description. A spring loaded phone mount (not that I use one but some might), an extension cord, some tools and a carrying case! Wonderful! I haven't used it much yet but I was so shocked when I opened the box that I had to write a review.
