Nice even for a Canon 5D MK IV

This is a beautifully built tripod and I've even used it with the larger Canon 5D. However, be careful when using a DSLR as you can tip the Ting over very easily. One day I did just that and my camera broke. Luckily or miraculously, he was fine and survived the fall. You have no problem with smaller cameras. My only concern is that screwing together or unscrewing the connectors tightens the legs. If you are in a hurry, this is not the fastest. I'm not sure how I would get any better, but I'm…

Excellent all-purpose table stand

Excellent table stand that has a bit more reach in an emergency due to the use of an extension cord. Overall quite small and very high quality. Not as small as I was hoping when packed, don't get me wrong, it's quite compact but maybe 2/3 the size of my travel tripod when folded. The avant-garde gets a little bigger as it expands. So as a table tripod it gets a one plus from me. As a stowaway in my backpack when I don't have another tripod with me, I would give it a 2 because it's a bit…

Seems to be the perfect travel tripod

I am preparing to travel abroad next month and need a lightweight tripod for my Sony a7R IV. The tripod only arrived an hour ago but I am so impressed with the Build quality and the weight that I decided to give a review immediately. It will certainly be strong enough for the a7R with most lenses of 2 pounds or less. Especially if you keep the camera at 12 inches. I will update this review if I change my mind. The only thing I would like to change is that I was attached with the leg extensions…

Very good but not exactly what I was looking for

This tripod is very well made and well worth the money. However, it's too long for my bag or pocket, but it's not large enough to be much larger than a table tripod. My smallest full-size tripod, a Gitzo Traveler, spans 5 feet but weighs just 2.2 pounds. Okay, it's a $500+ tripod, but there's not much to carry and I don't have to get on my knees to use it. I chose the Ulanzi mini tripod. It's about the same price as Aoka, carbon fiber, etc., but the Ulanzi is only 8.25 inches long and after…

Deceptively small. Not really.

Let's start with the size. Looking at the pictures I was expecting a standard size ball mount. This ball mount has definitely been scaled down. It's more like 2/3 scale. I thought it would not fit my full frame DSLR in any way and certainly cannot be stable. And this is where my SLR fits, and it's rock solid. I bought this for travel so I love the size! Secondly; Quality. At a time when manufacturers are trimming every corner and pawning cheap junk at a premium price, Aoka rises above the rest.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Expensive

Handy little tripod in Tripods & Monopods

I bought this little tripod for my Sony A7iii because I need a handy tripod to carry with me at all times. First, it's made out of carbon fiber, so including the included ball head, weighs about a pound. It's small enough to fit IN most camera bags (I use a Peak Design 5L bag) or for guys to use, sometimes I just put it in my jeans pocket. I've used it with my A7iii with a 24-105mm lens with no problems. While I'm not personally a vlogger, it can easily be used as a tripod as the legs are stiff

Perfect for my style of photography in the wild and on the go

I travel a lot in the wild, focusing on wildlife photography and of course landscape photography from the side. Either way, the overall weight can get pretty heavy on those rides, but things just got a little lighter with this new compact carbon fiber tripod from AOKA! A7III with a fairly heavy (pound) lens no problem. For me it's perfect. On most trips I don't need anything particularly tall or elevated, so this tripod works. I can also put it in my backpack. Many photographers asked for a…

A really handy tripod and a masterpiece of workmanship

I don't often write reviews of my camera gear. For the record, I have a Manfrotto and my tripod has always been a solid Velbon (well made but heavy). So when I saw this, the first thing that caught my attention was the size. I was inclined to think it would be a cheap product, but it isn't. The carbon legs are comparable to those of my Manfrotto, while reducing the overall weight a bit given the many well-crafted aluminum parts, they are still significantly lighter than my Velbon. The…

Well made lightweight but tiny tripod

This is a very well made little tripod. It makes an excellent compact camera kit and works well with my Canon M3. For landscape and nature photography, this is a great stable mount, but it's a bit short for portraits and work that requires an eye-level position. The smartphone holder is well made and allows selfies without a special selfie stick. A small annoyance lies forever in advertising. The tripod weighs only 15.5 ounces WITHOUT the top extension. With the top attached it weighs 1lb 1.5oz

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Ideal for smartphones and mirrorless cameras (small lens)

This is a really fantastic little tripod. Not sure if it's better than the competition because it's the only tiny tabletop tripod of its kind. that I own. The only other stable tripod I have is the Manfrotto, which is also solid but doesn't have a height adjuster. has a dedicated pocket for this extension cord that works great. There's also a threaded carabiner that helps lower the center of gravity with some extra weight and improve stability. However, when installing, you can not close the…
