too narrow to safely insert cards, even more difficult to remove

Space for micro SD cards (and probably other types of cards too) is too narrow. I can't insert or remove cards without using enough force that I'm afraid of damaging something. I wanted to return them but I bought them just before the trip (I thought it would be useful for the trip) and now I'm at home, the return window closed two days ago. It's also bigger than I want. I really like the idea of the design and I'm very disappointed that it turned out to be unusable.
